Measuring Aspects Of a Real Site

When measuring town hall station certain aspects of measurement were more predominant than others including geometry of elements, light levels which were mainly flourescent as the bulk of the station is underground, sound (from trains and people) and flow of pedestrians. The techniques i have chosen to include are geometry, lighting and flow of people which is challenged through my installation.

Documentary Modes

The Documentary or Mocumentary I have produced includes multiple documentary modes to express the idea that what we see isn't always the full story and uses the modes EXPOSITORY,
OBSERVATIONAL, REFLEXIVE and PERFORMATIVE.

By using different modes it becomes apparent that the different elements of my machinima, including the text, audio and corresponding images, either correlate or conflict and throuh this i have tried to make it attempt to express ideas, sometimes completely and deliberetely irrelevant to the theme, as "TRUE" but which fails to do so through the failure and satire of the hypothetical people involved in making the film.

Examples of the different modes include EXPOSITORY, where claims which the viewer knows are outragious are presented as TRUE using supporting images, music and text and through this matter of fact technique the viewer begins to wonder if they could be true. Another example utilises a REFLEXIVE mode where a seemingly incompetent editor has left noise and text on the final copy of film which immediately changes our perception of the nature of the film and contradicts the claims at the beginning that the film is entirely non-edited.
